Tree Hugger (Tyriobapta torrida Kirby, 1889)

According to IUCN redlist Tyriobapta torrida occurs in swampy forest (but is uncommon in true swamp forest) and at forest pools. It is most common in the lowlands, but it has been found at 1,000 m in the Tama Abu range in Sarawak (R.Dow pers. comm. 2011). It is tolerant of at least some disturbance to its habitats, and has been found in oil palm plantation in Peninsular Malaysia (C.-Y. Choong pers. comm. 2011).
